Welcome to Baguio City!
Situated at the mountainous region of northern Luzon, the city offers a mix of local culture and western influence, which serves as a historical reminder of the strong ties between the Philippines and its western counterparts. Also known as the City of Pines, it serves as the summer capital of the Philippines due to its much cooler climate.
Established by the Americans as a hill station during the 1900s, it has to this day become a popular place for both locals and visitors to spend their needed vacation. The city offers interesting sites, which Feastgoers can visit and experience. Public transportation makes many of these places accessible at very affordable rates. Ample accommodation and restaurants are available throughout the city.
Getting to Baguio requires flying into Manila. From Manila, one can hire a van or avail of the inexpensive, air-conditioned busses going up to Baguio. Travel time to Baguio from Manila can take about 5 hours.
The Feast in Baguio is wide open to international visitors. All services will be in English and members will make you very welcome.
