We are excited this year to introduce you to the beautiful millennial setting of the Haliburton Highlands Feast site 2018.
The Haliburton Highlands is part of Ontario's Highlands and is one of the most picturesque places in Ontario. Located in beautiful Ontario cottage country, the Haliburton Highlands is bordered by Algonquin Provincial Park to the North, the Queen Elizabeth II Wildlands Provincial Park to the West and the Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park to the South. The area has an extensive history and was given its name due to its placement in the highest ground of the Canadian Shield, and Scottish ancestry. The county includes the towns of Haliburton, Minden, Dorset, Wilberforce, Gooderham, and a few other small hamlets. It is a well-known tourist and cottage area.
The town of Haliburton, only 6 minutes from the Feast site, was founded in the the 1800s and is in the center of the Haliburton Highlands. The Feast site will be at the Pinestone Resort and Conference Centre, which is set in 160 acres of the most scenic landscapes in all of Ontario. The site includes a complete service hotel, an auditorium where services will be held, a championship-level golf course, the Wind in the Willows Spa, a full restaurant where Chef Adam Raposo and his team will create delicious meals, and much more. The resort has enough facilities and hiking trails to spend the entire Feast right there in the millennial setting.
You may also want to enjoy the many other things to do in the Halliburton Highlands. Everything is nearby and waiting to be experienced. A visit to the Halliburton Forest and Wildlife Reserve will provide a live view of wolves in their natural habitat through a one-way glass observation room. If you like hiking and sculptures then a hike through the Sculpture Forest is for you. The sculptures are placed along the forest trails and provide a wonderful natural setting. If you prefer learning about the history of the area, a visit to a real log chute demonstrates how logging was done with the help of water to bring logs out of the hills. A number of museums in the area provide a look into the past culture in the Highlands. A wonder is waiting for all, so come and experience the millennial setting of the Haliburton Highlands.
