Victor Harbor, Australia

Greetings!  We are excited to be once again returning to the beautiful seaside village of Victor Harbor for the 2018 Feast of Tabernacles in South Australia.

Services will be held daily in the beautiful conference facilities at the McCracken Country Club Resort, surrounded by an 18-hole championship golf course.

Victor Harbor is located only 80 kilometres (48 miles) south of Adelaide.  Car rental or shuttles are available at the airport (http://www.adelaideairportflyer.com/) and from there it is a picturesque little-over-an-hour drive through beautiful countryside.

Victor Harbor, with its small population of around 11,500, has a real “seaside village” feel.  It is small enough to run into brethren and get around easily, but still big enough to provide all of our needs.  Accommodations, shopping, and restaurants are all available, with a variety to provide for every budget and taste.

One of the great features of Victor Harbor is its scenic beauty, with a rugged coast line of cliffs, bluffs and sparkling blue water, surrounded by green, rolling hills and countryside that produce renowned wine, cheese, olives, beef and other produce.

The world-famous lower lakes, wetlands and Coorong National Park are only a short drive from Victor Harbor and can be viewed on one of the many cruises available.  There are many wonders to see and places to explore – local attractions including Granite Island, Rosetta Head (The Bluff), surf beaches, whale-watching and penguin and seal colonies.  In addition, there are a number of more active options including helicopter tours, Aldinga Bi-planes, horseback-riding, Urumbirra Wildlife Park, Big Duck boat tours, horse-drawn trams, and local steam train rides, just to name a few.

If you have time, come and visit the Australian regional offices located in two historic buildings in the town of Clarendon. Formerly the old post office, now “Norman Hellyer House” and the original Blacksmith’s house, now known as “Hartley House.” Both were built in the 1800's but have been renovated to suit the needs of the work.  The office is only a 40-minute drive from Victor Harbor.
